cake mix
white or yellow

butter

strawberries
mashed

cup
strawberry jam

cream cheese
at room temperature, optional

granulated sugar

teaspoon
pure vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9 x 13-inch cake pan with nonstick spray.
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, butter, and egg. Mix with a fork just until crumbly. Set aside 1 cup crumbs for topping.
Press the remaining crumbs in the bottom of the cake pan. Bake for 10 minutes
Combine strawberries and preserves and stir.
In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, vanilla, and sugar with a mixer; mix until smooth and creamy.
Spread strawberry mixture over partially cooked crust. Next spread cream cheese mixture over strawberries. Sprinkle reserved crumbs over top. Bake 25 minutes.
Cool 30 minutes to 1 hour before serving. Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
