Kentucky Derby Pie
This is a rich dessert with fudgy chocolate and pecan center in a buttery crust. It's easy-to-make and a crowd-favorite wherever I take it.

deep dish pie crust
unbaked
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350*.
In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, sugar, flour, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well.
Add chocolate chips and nuts and mix until well blended. Spoon the mixture into the pie crust.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes. It may still jiggle in the center, but it will set as it cools.
Let cool for 10 minutes or longer for a firmer texture before slicing and serving.
