In a small bowl, add the diced, cooked chicken, honey garlic sauce, and hot sauce. Toss to combine.
In a separate large bowl, toss the chopped romaine with your choice of dressing. I like to use a simple vinaigrette, but you can use whatever you like or have on hand.
Transfer the salad to two large plates or bowls. Top with red onions, bell pepper, cucumber, cheese (optional), and the Hot Honey Chicken. (Chicken sauce recipe below.)
Serve immediately.
Honey garlic sauce
In a small saucepan, add soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, 1 Tablespoon minced garlic, and rice vinegar. Whisk to combine.
In another small bowl, combine the water and the cornstarch. Stir with a spoon until all of the cornstarch has dissolved, and then pour the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and whisking regularly, bring to a boil.
Once the sauce is boiling, lower the heat slightly. Let it boil for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the remaining minced garlic cloves (½ tablespoon)
.Transfer the sauce to a container or serving bowl and let cool before serving.
