Ingredients
For the pudding
1 and 1/4
cup
granulated sugar
1/4
cup
all-purpose flour
1/4
cup
unsweetened cocoa powder
1 and 1/2
cup
evaporated milk
2
large
egg yolks
2
tablespoons
butter
1
teaspoon
pure vanilla extract

Instructions
For the pudding
Mix sugar, flour, and cocoa in a saucepan.
Gradually whisk in milk.
Cook over medium heat until mixture starts to get thick. Whisk constantly.
Temper the eggs, then slowly add them to the chocolate mixture.
Cook until mixture is thick.
Stir in butter and vanilla.
Remove from heat.
Pour into serving containers.
Coconut-Pecan Frosting
Make Coconut Pecan Frosting, if desired. Top pudding with a dollop of frosting.
Refrigerate leftovers.
