unsalted butter
at room temperature, not margarine

cream cheese
at room temperature

teaspoon
pure vanilla extract

unsweetened cocoa powder
sifted

powdered sugar (aka confectioners)
sifted

cup
heavy whipping cream
Instructions
BROWNIES
Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with non-stick spray.
In the bowl of your electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs and vanilla and mix until combined.
In a medium-size bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, and salt, then gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix together.
Spread into the prepared baking pan. The batter will be thick.
Bake for 27-30 minutes or until the top is dry and the center is set. Cool completely before covering or frosting.
CHOCOLATE CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
In the bowl of your electric mixer, beat the butter and cream cheese until smooth.
Add vanilla, then add the sifted cocoa powder and mix until fully incorporated.
Slowly add the heavy cream.
Add powdered sugar 1 cup at a time until fully combined.
Mix until mixed well. Evenly spread over the cooled brownies.
Cut and serve. Store extras in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
