BROWNIE LAYER

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE LAYER

butter

granulated sugar
1 and ½
cups
brown sugar

eggs

pure vanilla extract

all-purpose flour

teaspoon

semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
For Brownie
Heat oven to 350°F.
In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
In another bowl, stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add this to the butter mixture.
The mixture will be THICK.
Press into a 9x13 inch pan that has been lined with aluminum foil then sprayed with non-stick spray.
For Chocolate Chip Cookie layer
Cream butter with sugars until fluffy.
Add egg and beat well.
Add vanilla and combine.
Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add to mixing bowl and mix until combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips by hand.
Carefully press and spread on top of the brownie layer.
It may take a little work, but get it as even as possible.
Bake on center rack of oven 35 to 40 minutes or until light, golden brown and cookie is set in the center.
