Bang Bang Shrimp
Crispy and juicy shrimp with a spicy homemade bang bang sauce. Can be served as an appetizer or in tacos.

peeled and deveined, tail on or off (453 g)

cup (4.22 fluid oz | 125 ml)
buttermilk

Instructions
Pat dry the shrimp and place them in a medium bowl. Pour the buttermilk into the bowl and stir gently. Set aside for 10 minutes
1 lb shrimp,
½ cup (4.22 fluid oz | 125 ml) buttermilk
In a shallow bowl, combine garlic powder, salt, pepper and cornstarch. Set aside.
¼ teaspoon sea salt,
¼ teaspoon black pepper,
¾ cup (4.2 oz | 120 g) cornstarch,
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Heat about 2 cups of vegetable oil on high heat in a pot.

Remove shrimp one by one. Let the buttermilk drip off. Dip in the cornstarch and place in hot oil. Repeat the same with all shrimp.
When the shrimp is nicely golden, remove and set on a plate with kitchen paper.
Bang Bang Sauce:
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Drizzle half on the shrimp and toss gently to coat.
½ cup (4 oz | 115 g) mayonnaise,
3 tablespoon sweet chili sauce,
1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
Serve with the rest of the bang bang sauce or
