In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, lime juice, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes (optional), salt, and pepper.

Add shrimp to the bowl and toss gently to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to marinate.
