If you aren’t a fan of spice whatsoever, try topping this dip with fig preserves. It makes a lovely swet contrast to the savory dip.

Furthermore, if you want it more spicy stir in minced jalapenos or sprinkle them over the top.

This is a great make-ahead recipe. In fact, it’s better after it sets a while. Make it early and refrigerate until ready to serve. As well, you can heat it in the microwave or oven. Thunder Dip is good hot or cold.

Tools needed to make Thunder Cheese Dip

  • You really don’t need a mixer for this recipe. Just a bowl and spoon or spatula is fine.
  • You’ll need a pie pan or 8×8-inch pan.
  • Cheese grater. Always grate your cheese, pre-shredded cheese has an anti-clumping agent on it and won’t melt smoothly. Plus, that agent makes it taste weird in my opinion.
  • Chef’s knife for chopping green onions and nuts.

I adored dips and appetizers. Here are some of my favorite Spicy Jalapeno Guacamole Recipe, Dill pickle dip, BBQ Chicken Sliders, Crock Pot Little Smokies, Loaded Hummus, and Pepperoni pizza bites.
