Simple Homemade Marinara Sauce Instructions

  1. Add oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and cook for a few seconds. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  2. Add tomato, oregano, and parsley. Cook for 5 minutes on medium-low. Pour vegetable broth. Bring to a simmer and allow tomato sauce to thicken, about 5 minutes more. Add pepper and adjust salt if needed.
  3. Remove from heat and serve with pasta.
