Seaside, Florida, with its reputation for incredible local eats, cozy cottages, and breathtaking views, is one of my favorite destinations to visit again and again.
Seaside Florida Dining Guide
Explore the Culinary Delights of Seaside, Florida
Nestled on the iconic Highway 30A between Panama City Beach and Destin, Seaside is a haven of unique, family-owned businesses. No chain restaurants or big-box stores here—just authentic, local charm. Beyond its food, Seaside’s stunning white beaches, crystal-clear ocean, and Southern cottage-style architecture make it feel like paradise.
Here are some standout spots to check out while in Seaside:
Great Southern Cafe
For breakfast with a Southern twist, head to Great Southern Cafe in Central Square. The wait can get long, so arrive early, but, it’s worth it. Their menu is packed with classic Southern flavors, from fried green tomatoes to shrimp and grits.
The bacon and pecan waffle was a standout dish that hit the sweet-and-savory spot perfectly. Pro Tip: Don’t skip the smoked Gouda cheese grits. They’re so good, you might end up ordering seconds like I did!
Bud & Alley’s Waterfront Restaurant
If fine dining with a view is what you’re after, Bud & Alley’s is the place to be. Their menu features fresh seafood, creative dishes, and a solid drink selection, all served with breathtaking beachfront views. We enjoyed oysters and perfectly cooked salmon while taking in the scenery from the upstairs patio.
Despite the upscale vibe, Bud & Alley’s is family-friendly. My kids loved the chicken fingers while soaking up the fun atmosphere. Pro Tip: Head to the rooftop for the nightly sunset celebration. If you’re lucky, you might even get to ring the bell as the sun sets.
Airstream Row
This iconic strip of Airstream food trucks is a must-visit for casual bites. From gourmet grilled cheese to crepes, there’s something for everyone here. It’s the perfect spot to grab a quick meal and enjoy it by the beach.
Surfing Deer
For a chic dining experience, Surfing Deer offers a menu full of inventive dishes in a stylish setting. It’s a great spot for a date night or a special family dinner.
Old Florida Fish House
Known for its laid-back atmosphere and fresh seafood, this spot is perfect for a relaxed meal. Their sushi and seafood platters are local favorites, and the live music adds to the fun vibe.
The Perfect Pig
This cozy spot combines Southern comfort food with upscale flavors. Their pulled pork and parmesan-crusted grilled cheese are must-tries. Whether you’re here for brunch or dinner, the menu has plenty of options to satisfy your cravings.
