Quick Apple Pie Moonshine, aka Apple Moonshine, is a fun cocktail recipe that you can make quickly and easily. It’s slightly sweet and full of apple and cinnamon.
Quick Apple Pie Moonshine
Well, this is how my morning started. I ran, made biscuits, and signed Ryder’s graded papers. Then, I explained to Lincoln the birds and the bees and I wasn’t ready for the last one!
And in other news, I regularly have to consult Urban Dictionary in order to communicate with my boys. I thought I was young and hip, well at least hip! Every day it’s either a new word, an old word that has changed meanings or there’s a new acronym. I can’t keep up!
On the bright side, some things never change and Apple Pie Moonshine is an old favorite. Just to be clear, this is not the old-fashioned distilled moonshine that you hide in the woods and ferment. Rather, my Apple Moonshine is a quick and tasty ‘cocktail’ made with Everclear (yikes!!), apple juice, and spices. However, it’s good. It’s really good.
Another fall favorite cocktail is this Caramel Apple Moscow Mule.

Best Apple Pie Moonshine
Usually, this would be a toasty drink to stay warm during cold weather, but I had it recently at a crawfish boil and thought it went with them perfectly.
It’s easy to make and tastes just like apple pie. Brown sugar gives this drink a deep-flavored sweetness and the cinnamon gives it that apple pie flavor. Don’t underestimate the cloves in this recipe, however. Cloves give it a distinct spice that can’t otherwise be duplicated. Don’t leave them out!
Apple Pie Moonshine Alcohol Percentage
It’s hard to determine the alcohol percentage in moonshine. It depends on the liquor you use.
Can I sub ingredients in Apple Pie Moonshine Everclear
Yes, absolutely. If you don’t like Everclear you can use vodka or whiskey.

If you seal the mason jars in boiling water will it keep longer?
Mine didn’t. It got funky pretty quickly.
Can u jar and seal it like regular moonshine and how long will it last ?
No, it needs to be refrigerated.
Slightly heated up, this is the perfect addition to any holiday party. Excellent recipe.
all my batches have been smooth & crisp clear looking. my last batch is cloudy, murky shine. I didn’t do anything differently. what could be the cause of this? thanks!!
I am making your Apple Pie Moonshine. I want to know does it go bad? How long does it last?
Yes it will go bad. It will be good about 10 days in the refrigerator
I want to make this Apple pie shine for gifts. Can I keep it in the refrigerator for a couple of months after making. ?
How long will it last in cool dark storage?
It will only keep about a week in the refrigerator. It will ferment and get funky for much longer than that.
Do you recommend straining out the cloves or leave them in when you jar it? Thanks!
Could you package it in a mason jar and give it as a gift?
In your moonshine recipe, the directions mention cider, but there is no cider in the ingredient list. Also, cloves are mentioned in the ingredient list, but not in the directions. Please clarify. Thanks.
So sorry, I couldn’t find cider when I made it this time so I subbed the cloves for that flavor. I have corrected the recipe, thanks for letting me know!
I don’t really drink but I must say what a great idea and such lovely colors! Beautiful !
Love the idea of this, Paula. Sounds like a great summer drink. xo, Catherine
