Protein Tiramisu Smoothie
Iโve been on a โtiramisuโ kick lately. First, I made Tiramisu Sheet Cake. I have plans for a Tiramisu cupcake and milkshake recipe. Funny thing is, I donโt like coffee, or I didnโt like it. Maybe my tastes are changing.
Ingredients
The full recipe with ingredient amounts and instructions is at the bottom of this post. You can save a tree and the recipe to your personal and private recipe box here on Call Me PMc. This way, youโll never misplace it.
- Ice
- Frozen banana. This makes it creamy.
- Greek yogurt adds protein and creaminess. You can use ricotta.
- Expresso for that great coffee flavor.
- Cocoa powder adds flavor. Your smoothie wonโt taste chocolate with this small amount, but it adds depth of flavor.
- Instant expresso powder to punch up the coffee flavor more. You can omit this.
- Vanilla or unflavored protein, after all, weโre trying to get protein to start the day.
- Chocolate shavings and crushed cookies for garnish.

Protein Tiramisu Smoothie Subs
You can use vanilla or unflavored protein powder. If you use unflavored, you may want to add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla flavoring.
I know the Vanilla wafers are exactly โhealthyโ food, but I wanted a garnish and didnโt have ladyfingers. I added a few crumbled wafers on top for garnish. You can also crumble a few and stir them into the smoothie for texture.
Adding a couple of ladyfingers broken up into your smoothie will make it more like actual tiramisu.

You can use ricotta cheese or Greek yogurt. This adds flavor and makes your drink more smooth.
Depending on your protein powder, you may need to add milk to make your smoothie thinner. (Some protein powders are thicker than others.) I like a thick smoothie and eat it with a spoon; therefore, I use 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk. You can use any dairy or non-dairy milk, adding a little at a time until you get the consistency you like.
Speaking of sweetness, this smoothie isnโt sweet (to me). You can easily add honey, agave syrup, or simple syrup to sweeten it to the level you desire.
