Peanut
Football season has started. We usually try to go to at least one away game each year. Well, I try to go to an away game, Big Daddy goes to a lot. We went to Nashville for the weekend. The University of MS play Vanderbilt in Titans stadium. We made had a fun weekend trip with friends.
Have you ever been to Nashville? It is such a cool town. We stayed at the Hilton downtown. It’s one block off Broadway and walking distance to the stadium. Broadway has door to door restaurants and bars for 3 to 4 blocks with each place having fabulous live music. I mean fabulous. Tootsie’s is a famous bar and that’s were we started our night. Oh my gosh, so much fun!! So, highly recommend going to Tootsie’s if you have a chance!
Then we had dinner at Kayne Prime, it’s a chic boutique-type steakhouse. Great restaurant, I recommend the House-made Bacon with Maple Cotton Candy and Peppercorns. Yes, I said cotton candy! Just look!
My other favorite was a side of Corn Brulee with Jalapenos. I may try to recreate this one. Fresh sweet corn, slow cooked with cream and jalapenos. It was topped with a thin layer of sugar that was caramelized.
And, last picture of our trip. Have you seen Pedal Taverns before? It’s a “traveling bar”, except you have to pedal. I just wanted to ride and not do any work. My friends didn’t go for that!
