Panko Baked Cauliflower Bites make a great starter or party food.
These little gems are hard to resist! You’ll find yourself popping Panko Baked Cauliflower Bitesย one after another into you mouth. It’s okay though because they’re baked and full of nutrients as well as flavor!
We had a delicious fried cauliflower appetizer at a local restaurant, Kermit’s Outlaw Kitchen (KOK), recently. It was so good, I wanted it as my meal not just as a starter. I knew I wanted to try this cauliflower at home.
There are a few differences in my Panko Baked Cauliflower Bites and KOK’s. First, I baked where as they fried the bites. I just refuse to fry. I served my cauliflower with a yogurt sriracha sauce and KOK served theirs with a peanut sauce. I’ve been a little sriracha crazy lately so that was on my mind. Also, I actually forgot they had a peanut sauce. So there’s that…
These gems are easy to prep, the oven does all the work. You just get to enjoy the crunchy texture and heat from the sriracha!
Panko Baked Cauliflower Bites Tips
- Choose a head of cauliflower that is firm and tightly closed
- Cut the head into evenย pieces
- I used panko breadcrumbs in this recipe, you can also use regular breadcrumbs or crushed crackers.
- Test for doneness with a fork, if it pierces easily the cauliflower is done, if not allow them to cook another 5 minutes before testing again.
- Not a fan of the Sriracha Dipping sauce, use the peanut butter sauce in this recipe.

Easy…quick and amazing. NOTHING ELSE TO DAY.Oh,one thing THANK YOU:)
For a whole head of cauliflower I needed 3 eggs, about 2+ cups of panko and only about a half of a cup of flour.
Same here! Also: mixed in some canned parmesan with the panko, and a little cayenne with the flour.
