Crinkle cookies have
I recommend cooking them for the shortest amount of time recommended. When the cookies are crack, carefully open the oven and test the edge of one cookie with a spatula. If it’s firm and appears ‘set’ and the center of the cookie appears ‘dry’ (not glossy). They will firm and set more as they cool.

Old Fashioned Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
Ingredients
- ยฝ cup butter
- 1 and ยผ cup brown sugar
- โ cup unsweetened cocoa powder unsweetened, sifted
- 2 large eggs room temperature
- 1 and ยผ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ยฝ teaspoon salt
- โ cup powdered sugar (aka confectioners)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, over medium heat, melt your butter.
- Remove from heat and add your brown sugar and cocoa powder. Stir until completely blended together. Set aside until cool.
- Once cool, add eggs and stir until combined.
- Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until the dough is uniform.
- Refrigerate the dough for at least an hour.
- When ready to bake, preheat your oven to 350ยบF.
- Place powdered sugar into a shallow bowl.
- Roll cooled dough into 1 ยฝ – 2 inch balls.
- Roll each ball around in your powdered sugar until coated.
- Refrigerate your cookies for another 30 minutes.
- Place your cookies on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until the cookies start to crack around the edges.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before removing from the baking sheet and placing onto a wire rack. Enjoy!
