Margarita Bars
Ingredients
Crust:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- โ cup butter
- ยผ cup powdered sugar (aka confectioners)
Topping:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 Tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 2 Tablespoon tequila
- 1 Tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- ยฝ teaspoon baking powder
- ยผ teaspoon salt
- confectioners’ sugar for dusting top
Instructions
Crust
- Combine crust ingredients in a food processor. Mix until resembles wet sand. Pat into an 8-inch square baking dish that has been sprayed with non-stick spray. Bake crust at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. It will not brown.
Topping
- Meanwhile, combine sugar, eggs, flour, lime, tequila, lime zest, baking powder, and salt. In an electric mixer, mix until frothy; pour over the crust. Bake at 375 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown. sugar.
- Allow it to cool for 5 to 10 minutes then dust the top with confectioners sugar.
