Make Ahead Thanksgiving Casseroles

Who doesn’t love a good Thanksgiving casserole?

I, for one, celebrate homemade casseroles more than any other item on the Thanksgiving table. I don’t really think it’s about the casserole itself as much as it is about the tradition. Enjoying those same make-ahead casseroles, especially Thanksgiving variants, year after year. Everyone has their favorites that simply must be on the table.

It’s a lot of work for one person or one family to do all in one day. So if several family members don’t pitch in, you will need to make some things in advance. Casseroles (and some desserts) are the easiest dishes to make in advance. In all honesty, most make-ahead Thanksgiving casseroles get better after they sit a day or so.

Here are a few classic Thanksgiving recipes that are good made 1 or 2 days before your event.
