Nachos just reached a new level with Homemade Apple Pie Nachos with Cinnamon Chips. All of the flavors you love in an apple pie, but in a fun and shareable way!

Another quick and easy apple recipe is these Microwave Cinnamon Apples. These are two of my favorites since the boys can make them themselves.

 Apple Pie Nachos

Homemade apple pie nachos with cinnamon chips are an ooey, gooey plate of deliciousness.

You could serve these individually or on a big tray. Forgo the utensils; nachos are meant to be eaten with your hands, where you get all sticky and sloppy.

It all started with Peach Cobbler Nachos when I realized I didn’t have all the ingredients to make the pastry. That mistake turned into a new family favorite. I love mistakes.😉

For the chips

You’ll want to start the chips first. First, cut flour tortillas into chips. Next, coat them in oil, then cinnamon and sugar. Bake them until all the moisture is gone and they’re crisp. This is your base for the nachos.

I made my chips with flour tortillas because they’re sturdy and will hold the apples. You can make chips from pie crust. However, they tend to break with much weight. Therefore, I don’t recommend them for this recipe. Alternatively, you could use graham crackers, animal crackers, sugar cookies, or another sweet cracker or cookie. Finally, you could use cinnamon sugar pita chips (found here).

For the topping

You have some options for toppings, especially to complete the Homemade Apple Pie Nachos. You can use fresh, canned, or frozen apples. You will flavor the apples and then cook them until they’re soft.

Another quick option is to use apple pie filling. I recommend tasting the filling and adjusting the spices if needed. Next, warm it and spoon it onto your chips.

Dress up your Apple Pie Nachos

Drizzle with white chocolate, caramel sauce or marshmallow fluff (Did you know they make marshmallow fluff as an ice cream topper now? It’s with the ice cream toppings in the store.) over the top. You can also top it with chopped pecans, walnuts, or almonds. OR… chopped Snickers or Heath candy bars would be amazing!!!

Here’s my homemade caramel sauce recipe or my Pecan Pie Caramel Sauce if you prefer homemade.

Of course, what’s apple pie without ice cream or whipped cream? Splurge and get a really good vanilla ice cream or make homemade whipped cream. You’ll thank me later.

Time-Saving Tips

  1. You can make the chips and store in an airtight container up to two days before you need to use them for homemade apple pie nachos.
  2. Oil in a spray bottle (like this) is easier and quicker than brushing the chips with oil. If you can’t find the spray in the store, you can get a dispenser like this to fill.
