Grilled Pork Chops 3 Ways. These three different marinade recipes for pork chops are ridiculously easy to make and hands down the best pork chops I’ve ever eaten! These are 5 star grilled pork chop recipes that you’ll use often.
As well, grilled pork chops are an easy and delicious summertime dinner. Anytime you can grill outside and not heat up the kitchen and house, it’s a good thing to do. This 15 minute pork chop marinade makes seasoning your chops really easy, a no-brainer, and everyone loves them.
GRILLED PORK CHOPS 3 WAYS
Just a few simple ingredients make a delicious and quick marinade. They are all you need to make these tender, flavorful, bone-in pork chops.
I prefer thick pork chops especially if I plan to grill them. Therefore, I chose four 1 and 1/2-inch thick bone-in pork chops. Bone-in chops don’t dry out as quickly on the grill.
If you aren’t a pork fan, try these marinades with chicken. As well, we love this recipe for grilled chicken legs.
15 minute pork chop marinade
I marinated them with one of these three sets of ingredients from 15 minutes up to 3 hours.
- Worcestershire, garlic, and olive oil
- Gulden’s mustard and orange marmalade
- Buffalo wing sauce
HOW LONG DO I COOK CHOPS?
Grill the pork chops over direct heat, with the lid closed, until the pork chops are well-marked, for 8-12 minutes total, turning once.
Your pork chops are safe to eat when a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the meat registers 145 ยฐF. However, it may appear slightly pink inside. That’s okay as long as the thermometer reads 145ยฐF.
This 145ยฐF temperature is 15 degrees less than the old standards of 160ยฐF. However, research shows that at 145 degrees F the meat is as safe as cooking pork until it reads 160 degrees F. Furthermore, at 145 degrees F you will have much more juicy pork.
DO I HAVE TO LET PORK CHOPS REST?
As with any other meat allow pork tenderloin to rest for 5 to 10 minutes before cutting into it. This is what your pork will look like with a 5-minute resting time:
- Take the pork off the grill at 145ยฐF, will rise to 150 F โ slices will be pink and moist
- Remove pork from the heat at 150ยฐF, will rise to 155 F โ slices will be slightly pink and moist
- Take the pork off at 160ยฐF, will rise to 165 F โ slices will not be pink but still should be relatively moist
