When I was asked to sample the G’vine gin, I thought, ‘yeah, just another gin.’  Wow, was I wrong? The taste of this gin is superb. And, I know gin. Gin and tonic just happen to be my drink of choice during those marathon tailgating sessions we have. G’vine is a unique, ultra-premium gin from France.

What makes G’vine different?

G’vine marries ancestral grape distillation techniques with a cutting-edge infusion of the rare grapevine flower!

The G’vine Floraison (the one on the right with the green top) is infused with the vine flower and 9 different botanicals. Floraison has a sweet, floral aroma with hints of cardamom, and ginger and has a juniper base. It tastes delicate and sweet. It finishes crisply with a floral note. I heart this one!

G’vine Nouaison has more juniper and nutmeg components than Floraison. It’s warm and woodsy in the aroma. It tastes robust, warm, and rich and finishes with notes of ripe fruit and citrus.

I made a Gin Mojito Cocktail because after making this Strawberry Gin Mojito recently, it’s one of my favorites. This time I made my mojito with Floraison G’vine… because I heart it.

Are you asking where the mint is in my drink? Yeah, me too. I didn’t realize I strained it out until after I took pictures…and drank it. Um, I was very excited when it was time to drink!

because I heart this gin.

When making cocktails, I have a couple of techniques that I use.

  1. If the cocktail contains mint, basil, or any herb, I like to tear the leaves to release the flavors.
  2. I also like to refrigerate all the liquid ingredients. By doing this your drink will be super cold and I love super cold drinks on hot, balmy days!

  1. Tried this with St-Laurent gin, but had no fresh mint. Infused my simple syrup with dried peppermint instead. Tastes ambrosial. Thanks for the recipe!

  2. Gin and Tonic is one of my favorite summertime drinks and Mojitos aren’t far down on the list either. This combo looks amazingly refreshing and I’m dying to try it! I am going to see if my local liquor store carries the G-Vine Floraison. That sounds like something Hubby and I are going to really like. Thank you for sharing your review and recipe!

  3. I’ve been known as a gin girl. I like the flavor of the gin and tonics except that sometimes it’s just too dry. This sounds way better, nice and sweet.
    Thanks!
