TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR YOUR CHICKEN GYROS

This is a good make-ahead meal because the longer the chicken marinates the more flavorful it becomes. You can make the chicken the night before and cook it the next day. Allow it to marinate for up to 24 hours in the fridge. As well, you can prep all the remaining ingredients for quick assembly once you cook the chicken.

I included a recipe for tzatziki sauce which is the traditional sauce for gyros. Tzatziki gets better after sitting for a few hours so mix it up after you marinate the chicken. Additionally, Green Goddess dressing is wonderful on gyros!!

The chicken is tasty cooked on the grill, but you can also pan saute’ it. Even faster, cook the chicken at 380ยฐ for 15 minutes in your air fryer.

The leftovers stored in airtight containers in the refrigerator are good for up to 3 days.

If you serving gyros for a crowd, consider using kitchen twine, parchment paper, or aluminum foil to hold them together.
