Cream Cheese Sausage Rotel Wonton Cups
- If you prefer, you can use phyllo cups instead of wonton wrappers.
- You can add shredded cheese to the top for more cheesiness!
- I used pork sausage. To save fat and calories, you can use chicken or turkey sausage.
- I use the Rotel brand of Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies. As well, I usually get the Original flavor. They come in Hot, Mild, Fire Roasted, Lime & Cilantro. Three are probably more, but I use Original. Any flavor would probably be good.

Great base recipe and is very adaptable. Going to a Superbowl party and needed a quick appetizer. Used spicy breakfast sausage, mexican shredded cheese, mushrooms, garlic and spinach with the cream cheese.
These look wonderful but do have a ?. I have never used wonton wrappers before so may I ask what kind / brand of wrappers you used?
Thank You
I’ve used several brands. They’re all pretty much the same. My alternative is Pepperidge Farm phyllo shells. Bake 5 minute and fill. Hubby’s favorite
