Candy Corn Painted Bottles
I had the idea for these candy corn bottles when I made chalkboard painted bottles. Painting bottles is easy, and they are so fun to make.
These bottles are so bright and festive! This decorating project is easy, and it’s perfect for Halloween decorating. The candy corn painted bottles can be used for or indoor or outdoor fall decor.
First, use Goo Gone or another cleaner to remove any labels from the bottles. Then, give them a good wash with hot soapy water, and dry them thoroughly before you begin decorating them.
Use a spray paint primer to cover the entire surface. I used gray, because that’s what I had on hand.
I couldn’t find orange spray paint, so I hand-painted the orange color. It took 4 coats to cover.
How to Paint Bottles
First, paint the orange part of the bottle. Then, tape off the orange, and paint the yellow, then the white.
Next, remove the tape and lightly spray the colors over the orange so it won’t have a hard edge. The bottle on the right in the above picture has had the final
spraying of the white. See how it looks better than the straight line on the other two bottles?
Someone told me once when displaying items to always display odd numbers, that’s why I did 3.
They show up really well from the street.
