What are Butter Swim Biscuits?

Butter swim biscuits are made using a very wet buttermilk biscuit dough that’s soaked with butter. They are not cut-out or dropped, instead you plop the entire batch of dough in a baking pan with melted butter and press it out flat.

As well, they bake up with crisp edges from the butter, so good and so easy to make.

Butter Swim Cinnamon Biscuits Method

First and foremost, it’s essential to handle the dough with care. Overworking the dough can lead to tough and dense biscuits, so be gentle when mixing and shaping it. Remember, the goal is to create a light and airy texture that melts in your mouth.

  1. How do you incorporate the cinnamon filling into the biscuits? Just spread on top or does it get mixed in with the biscuit dough?
