Buffalo Style Chicken Burgers

Buffalo Chicken Burgers are FULL of the best flavors bright, tangy, and spicy.

I joined a group of bloggers who participated in #burgermonth, which is this month, May. I made this Enchilada Burger. And, of course, Buffalo wings are always good and a hit with friends. You should totally check it out.

When I made the Enchilada Burger, I also thought of this recipe.

Buffalo Chicken Burgers

This burger is out-of-this-world good. The flavors and textures contrast nicely. The hot buffalo sauce contrasts with the creamy blue cheese ranch dressing.

Buffalo Style Chicken Burgers with Blue Cheese Ranch Dressing is a great alternative to a beef burger and lower in fat. They’re thick, spicy, juicy, and taste just like Buffalo chicken wings.

Buffalo Style Chicken Burgers with Blue Cheese Ranch Dressing

  1. You can use ground turkey instead of ground chicken in this recipe. (You can also use straight-up chicken breast that’s not ground.)
  2. Blue cheese is one of my favorite cheeses, but if you don’t have a taste for it use feta or queso fresco.
  3. If you have a favorite from-scratch recipe for ranch dressing, use it. Otherwise, using a store-bought is fine.
  4. Choose your favorite burger toppings. Some to try are lettuce, onion, tomato, avocado, bacon, cheddar, slaw, and a fried egg.
  5. Also, try Sriracha Comeback Sauce instead of Buffalo Wing Sauce.
  6. Although I prefer to grill burgers, these are also tasty cooked stovetop on a grill pan.

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Servings: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 and ยฝ pound ground chicken
  • 2 tablespoons green onions finely chopped
  • ยฝ tablespoon garlic clove minced
  • 1 pinch salt about 1/8 teaspoon
  • 1 pinch black pepper about 1/8 teaspoon or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley minced
  • *2 tablespoon oil if pan frying
  • **6 to 8 buns buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, blue cheese (or feta cheese), tomato slices, Monterrey cheese slices, lettuce, avocado, any other toppings you like

Instructions

  • I recommend making burgers and then refrigerating them for at least 2 hours so they firm up before cooking.
  • Mix the first six ingredients together, then divide into 6 to 8 burgers.
  • Heat the grill to medium-high. Grill for 4 to 6 minutes per side or until cooked through.
  • Flip the burger once and do not press.
  • Add buffalo sauce and then cheese to the burger and allow the cheese to melt.
  • Toast the bun on the grill.
  • Build your burger with toppings of your choice and serve it hot.

Notes

To pan fry, heat the skillet to medium-high. Add oil to the pan, when the oil is hot, add burgers. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side, flip once and do not press. Add buffalo sauce and then cheese to the burger. Place a pan top over the burger to hold the heat in so the cheese melts easily. Meanwhile, toast buns and prepare other toppings. Place burger on bun and load with your choice of toppings. Serve hot.
