Almond Butter Stuffed Dates make a quick and delicious recipe great for appetizers, your charcuterie board, snacks, pre-workout energy, or sweet cravings. They are wonderful and will provide you with long-lasting energy!

Almond Butter Stuffed Dates

I have found a delicious, shortcut snack or pre-workout snack bite! They’re also great when you want something sweet. Usually, two Almond Butter Stuffed Dates will curb my craving and they’re all-natural and packed with nutrients.

These dates are even easier to make than the Energy Balls that are so popular. The base for a lot of energy balls are dates because of their sticky texture.

I make Almond Butter Stuffed Dates with just raw, organic almond butter and dates. However, you can ‘fancy’ them up and sprinkle almonds, pistachios, or coconut over them. As well, you can dip half or the entire Almond Butter Stuffed Dates in dark chocolate.

Almond Butter Stuffed Dates

It’s actually silly to call this concoction a ‘recipe’. There are only two simple ingredients, pitted dates because who wants to pit them yourself? And, almond butter. Sure you can substitute other nut butter, but I’m trying to keep it healthy. I like raw, organic almond butter similar to this.

Now all you need to do is get a sharp knife and slit one side of the date open. Using a teaspoon, scoop almond butter into the date and mash it together to close it.

A note on Dates

Dates are wonderfully delicious and one of the most popular fruits packed with an impressive list of phytonutrients, vitamins, and minerals that are essential for normal growth, development, and overall well-being. Dates are rich in fiber, an excellent source of iron and potassium. As well, dates are rich in minerals like calcium, manganese, copper, and magnesium.

Notes on Almond Butter

Almond butter is a dieterโ€™s best friend due to its lack of carbs and its abundance of protein and healthy fat. Protein and fat, both fill you up and keep you satisfied. One tablespoon serving ofย almond butterย contains 100 calories, 10 grams of fat, 1 gram saturated fat, 0 milligrams cholesterol, 0 milligrams sodium, 4 grams total carbohydrates, 1 gram dietary fiber, and 2 grams protein.
