This is the perfect dessert when there’s no time to make a pie crust! It should be called ‘magic cake’ because the cake mix magically makes a delicious and crispy top crust!

There is no mixing bowl, no mixer, you simply layer the three ingredients in the baking dish.

3 Ingredient Cake Mix Dump Peach Cobbler

  1. First, you can use canned peaches in heavy syrup or fresh peaches. For fresh peaches, you’ll want to peel, slice, and cover them in 2/3 cups granulated sugar for 30 minutes. I actually used the fermented peaches from my Peach Cobbler Moonshine to make this recipe. They were so totally off the charts! I highly recommend it!
  2. Whatever form of peaches you use, you want at least 1 cup of liquid (syrup) as well. It doesn’t have to be exact.
  3. Next, I prefer a white or yellow cake mix, but a butter cake mix will also work for this recipe
  4. I always recommend using real butter. I used salted butter, cut it into cubes, and placed it evenly on the cake mix.
  5. Finally, guess what! You can also make this in the slow cooker!! Layer the ingredients in your slow cooker (I used a 6 quart)  just as described in the oven method. Cover with the lid, turn on low, and cook for 4 hours or until the top is brown!

  1. I actually have a question. In one place you say you can use canned peaches in heavy syrup or fresh peaches (with the cooking instructions). But under ingredients you say canned peaches with juice. Does it matter if it’s heavy syrup or juice? I bought my ingredients off your ingredient list. I’d hate to have to go back to the store.

    1. yes, you can used. I wasn’t clear but I didn’t want readers to drain off the juice/syrup. It is used as well.

    2. Because peaches are so mild,I added cinnamon and vanilla to the syrup. Delicious. Thanks for the recipe!

I can’t print your recipes. The print is way too light. I get the title, ingredients, instructions and notes in bold, but the other print won’t show where I can read. Help!

    1. I just printed one of my recipes today and it was fine. Do other sites’ recipes print? Your ink may be going out, or check the settings that it set to 90% to 100% black.

  3. I have a bag of frozen peaches that are in my freezer from last year. They have plenty of juice. I need to add a bit more sugar before using them. There are enough for a pie. Do you think I will have an over abundance of juice since they’re frozen? Should I thicken the juice before adding the cake mix?

  4. Hi. I just read the same exact recipe on All Recipes and it says to use TWO cans of peaches in heavy syrup. Perhaps that’s why I had so much uncooked powdery cake mix on top???

    1. It is simple. Stir and serve. It’s great! My family has been doing this for years

  5. Hi: Just pulled this out of the oven. I must have done something wrong. I have ‘dry powdered cake mix’ on the top, obviously not cooked. I thought I had enough fluid. The can of peaches yielded a little more than a cup of fluid. I spread the cake mix evenly, flat as I could, dabbed the butter on and I think I did what the recipe called for. It was bubbling in the oven. It tastes great but was a disappointment because of the powdered cake mix on top. So, what did I do wrong?

  6. I have a question do u have tomix the cake ingredient or do u just lay the cake mix out on the peach with out putting the ingredients in the cake mix I mean do uhabe to add the eggs oil water to the cake

    1. This may be a stupid question but do you mix up the cake mix before adding to peaches? Got a similar recipe from my mother in law and she makes the best peach cobbler which also calls for a can of sprite overall before baking but does not specify dry batter or mixed…seems l have soupy peach cobbler?๐Ÿ˜‰

      1. Dear Cheryl, Your peach dump cake sounds very interesting. Especially using the sprite. Is it possible I could obtain your recipe. Would love to hear from you.
        Be blessed,
        Gee

      2. I just made it w/frozen peaches/yellow cake mix & 1 can of diet Sprite. It’s from a weightwatchers recipe on Facebook. Yuk. Lol it was soupy so I put it in for another 20 min. Yuk. ๐Ÿ˜ I’m adding butter to the top and cooking another 20 min. Should have stuck w/ my moms old recipe. Lol

      3. I didn’t think you were supposed to cook with diet drinks unless they used Splenda rather than aspartame.

      4. Use only the cake mix. Sprinkle it evenly the peaches and syrup. To use the sprite you have to remove an equal amount of liquid from the peach liquid.

      5. Yes, that is correct. Don’t mix the cake mix into the fruit and juice, just sprinkle it evenly over the top.

      6. 5 stars
Nope,.. Just like she says,.. Its a DUMP CAKE.. Dump a can of Peaches,.. then Dump a package of White Cake Mix,.. then just pats of butter all ore it,.. maybe 12 thin pats,.. and I sprinkled a tablespoon of White n a tablespoon of Brown sugar,. put in Oven n Bake, then let cool about 30 minutes before scooping out with a spoon for a delicious treat…
