Am I the only one who imagines carrot or banana in a cape when the word ‘super food’ pops up? We all love superfoods, they’re the super man of our regular food. Is it silly to think that way? 😉 What makes some foods superfoods? I think the number of health benefits and the nutritional values tagged with some foods make them superior as compared to others thus making them ‘super’ or ‘extra’.

Avocado is meaty and rich in texture and flavor. You may think of it as a vegetable but it’s a fruit. Avocado has tons of minerals, healthy fats, vitamins, and fiber that our body needs. As well, it has mono-saturated fats like olive oil. Mono-saturated fats are molecules that can reduce inflammation. You may be shocked to know that avocado can reduce the risk of heart diseases, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, and certain cancers. Regulation of blood sugar and blood pressure is also a bonus because of the presence of magnesium in avocados.
